"Unexpected fees made me back out"
I thought I knew what I was paying, but then at checkout the taxes and extra fees suddenly showed up. By that point it felt like I was losing money on a deal that wasn’t actually what it looked like at first. I don’t mind paying a fair price, I just want the real total shown upfront. It left a bad taste, so I probably won’t use them again.

"Billing Was Fine, Thankfully"
I ordered from Cheaper Than Dirt, and to be fair, the charge ended up matching what I saw at checkout. Taxes and shipping were shown clearly enough, and my card wasn’t randomly hit with anything extra afterward, which should be the bare minimum but still seems worth mentioning. The receipt came through right away, too. The pending charge did take a little while to fully post, but that’s normal. Overall, the billing was accurate and didn’t cause me any hassle...

"Not as cheap as I expected"
I used to check Cheaper Than Dirt first when I was shopping around, but the prices just don’t seem that great anymore. Most of the items I looked at were higher than other sites, and that was before even adding shipping. I’m sure they probably have a decent deal here and there, but I didn’t come across any this time. With a name like that, I guess I expected better prices. Ended up buying somewhere else, though I’ll probably still check back once in a while just in case...

I reached out to customer service and just never got a response, even after waiting a few days. that’s frustrating. I don’t think I’ll be ordering from them again.

"Slow to Ship and Handled Carelessly"
My order took way longer to ship than I expected. The site said everything was in stock, but it just sat there for days before I even got a tracking number. When it finally did ship, the delivery itself was okay, but by then I was already annoyed. The packaging also felt like it had been handled carelessly, which didn’t help. Not the worst experience, but definitely not as fast or smooth as I was hoping...

"Customer service felt like a hassle"
I ordered from Cheaper Than Dirt and had a question about my order, so I reached out to customer service. They did get back to me, but it felt like they were barely reading what I wrote. Just short replies that didn’t really answer the question. I had to repeat myself, which I have zero patience for, and I still didn’t get a clear answer. It wasn’t the worst experience ever, but it definitely wasn’t helpful. I’ll probably just order from somewhere else next time.

"I tried using the site it felt…"
I tried using the site it felt like it was held together with tape. Pages took forever to load, the filters were basically useless, and checkout kept kicking me back like it had no idea what it was doing. After 20 minutes of this nonsense, I gave up.

I’ve used Cheaper Than Dirt a handful of times now, and my account experience has been normal. Logging in works like it should, and I haven’t noticed anything strange with my saved info or account details. I did have to reset my password once and that went smoothly too. I’m taking off one star because I wish the security settings were easier to find, though maybe I’m just overlooking them or making it harder than it needs to be

"Good Prices, But the Stock Info Let Me Down"
I ordered some ammo because it showed as available, but after checkout I was told it was actually backordered. I waited a few weeks and barely got any updates, which just isn’t the level of communication I expect when I’m spending money and waiting on an order. To be fair, canceling wasn’t difficult, but the whole process felt sloppy. The prices looked good, but I don’t really trust the stock info anymore.

My order just sat there for days with no real movement, and then part of it ended up getting canceled. To be fair, they did refund me, so I’m not out any money. But I’d be careful ordering anything you really need by a certain date. I’d definitely keep screenshots and watch the order closely just in case

I liked the selection and was ready to place an order, so I was disappointed when the checkout started giving me trouble. It kept loading slowly and then randomly sent me back to the shipping step without explaining why. On top of that, my total changed right at the end because extra fees showed up late, which felt frustrating and a bit sketchy. I ended up giving up before finishing the order. The site seems like it has potential, but the checkout process really needs to be smoother and more upfront...

"Refund took way too much chasing"
The weird part is, the return itself wasn’t even the main issue. I sent everything back exactly how they asked, but then I had to keep following up just to get my refund moving. The replies felt slow and copy-pasted, like nobody was actually looking into it. it ended up being way more stressful than it should’ve been, and I don’t think I’d order from them again.

"Arrived on time, but the packaging was rough"
I got my order on time, I think it showed up Tuesday, or maybe Wednesday, I can’t remember exactly, but the box was in rough shape. It was beat up and barely taped shut, and the stuff inside was just kind of loose. One corner was crushed too. Nothing was totally ruined, so it wasn’t the worst experience, but they definitely need to do a better job with the packaging.

My order got to my FFL quick, which was great. The paperwork was easy too, really easy, and the whole pickup process went smooth. The only thing was the tracking was a little slow to update, but other than that I was happy with it.
